venue is screaming. It\u2019s a bitterly cold night in Cleveland, Ohio, <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roximately 15,321 kilometers from her sun-drenched hometown on Australia\u2019s Central Coast, and Nina\u2019s about to play the last date of her first headlining North American tour.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            To say it\u2019s been successful is an understatement. Some shows hit capacity and others were rebooked for larger venues. Her August 2025 debut album, <i><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/album\/77CZUF57sYqgtznUe3OikQ\">I Love My Computer<\/a><\/i>, catapulted her heartfelt, effervescent \u201cgirl EDM\u201d to new heights, including a record-breaking eight nominations at the ARIA Awards (she took home three). The gushing reception has been gratifying, but the learning curve has been steep, especially for an artist whose \u201creally small\u201d team is \u201cindie on every front,\u201d she says. Signed to Nina Las Vegas\u2019s NLV Records, Ninajirachi and co. have been tackling large-scale logistics as they navigate big markets and bigger festivals. In April, she\u2019ll play Coachella, then Primavera Sound over the summer.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            \u201cWe don&#8217;t have the high production, bombastic EDM shows and festivals at home in Australia, so I was shocked by it when I first came and played Hard Summer [in 2023],\u201d she says of U.S. festivals. \u201cI wasn\u2019t used to seeing the pyrotechnics, put-your-hands-up type stuff. But then I became really inspired by it because of how, at least the shows I was going to, diverse and safe and fun the crowds were, and how everyone was having a good time. grew up in Kincumber, New South Wales, a couple hours north of Sydney. She split her time between the great outdoors (her hometown beaches are \u201creally awesome\u201d) and the great indoors (she had a litany of \u201ccomputer-related hobbies\u201d including iWeb and iMovie). She would make fake websites for the family cats, or \u201c0.00001 megapixel, shittiest quality\u201d music videos of herself dancing to \u201cAlejandro\u201d by Lady Gaga.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            When she was 12, Nina discovered instrumental dance music through a YouTube tutorial on tie-dying denim. \u201cMadeon\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lTx3G6h2xyA\">\u2018Pop Culture\u2019 mash-up<\/a> was in the background,\u201d she recalls. \u201cIt was the first time I heard music that didn\u2019t have a big vocal in front of it, so I could hear all the production. I didn\u2019t understand what soft synths were or anything, so I would try to look up <i>what is making this noise?<\/i> I just wanted to understand it.\u201d She experimented on GarageBand until she \u201chit a wall,\u201d then pirated FL Studio, where she honed her skills for five years; nowadays she\u2019s \u201cspec\u2019ed into\u201d Ableton (in 2021, she created <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.liveschool.net\/ninajirachi-created-official-ableton-demo-project-live-11\/\">the official demo project for Live 11<\/a>).\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-277999\" that fumbled the tension and release of the tracks she was mimicking because she\u2019d never been to a club or festival. \u201cI didn\u2019t understand why EDM had a buildup and a drop, or why that was a formula,\u201d she says. \u201cSo I would use presets that sounded like the right thing, but the structure of the songs was all over the place.\u201d As she attended more shows, she says her initial perceptions of the \u201cbro-y\u201d electronic scene softened. \u201cNow it seems like the people who go to those shows look a lot different.\u201d\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            At 15, she adopted the stage name Ninajirachi, a reference to the super-rare Pok\u00e9mon Jirachi, because, \u201call the other names that I tried sounded silly.\u201d Nina, a dedicated Pok\u00e9mon fan, never encountered her namesake in-<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>: \u201cI\u2019ve honestly formed more of an attachment to Jirachi through music,\u201d she says, adding that her other favorites are the sinister Giratina and cuddly Piplup The mix of bloghouse, trance, and hardstyle on <i>I Love My Computer<\/i> recombines DNA from Skrillex and Flume\u2019s big-tent EDM with the flubbery pop of PC Music and Porter Robinson. But it best fits alongside the music of Zedd and Cashmere Cat, artists whose earnest electronics prioritize heart-tugging as much as head-banging.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            On the surface, <i>I Love My Computer<\/i> is a concept album about Nina and her MacBook. But that\u2019s a bit of a pump fake. These songs might sing about screens, but they\u2019re really focused on the intimate contours of how PCs augment our human reality, whether they\u2019re exposing us to uninvited cognito-hazards or crystallizing everyday moments into lifelong memories.\n          <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-278006\" class=\"content_block breaker triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left pull_quote\">\n<div class=\"media_wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"pull_quote\"><p><big>I just want everyone to sing along and hopefully make friends.<\/big><\/p><\/blockquote><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<style>\n<p> #content_block-278007,  #content_block-278007 blockquote.pull_quote, #content_block-278007 .img_caption .caption {\n   color: #f5ccbd;\n }\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-278007\" class=\"content_block paragraph text triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left center_align\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"paragraph_wrapper center_align\">\n<p>\n            Take the percussive refrain of \u201cCSIRAC,\u201d titled after the first computer to play digital music in 1951, or the nervy chorus of \u201cDelete,\u201d a track Nina built around a seven-year-old voice memo that excavates the humiliation of our \u201cmodern mega digital meta mating ritual,\u201d or thirst trapping. The roar of the crowd is picking up like a jet engine.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            Earlier, as we sipped Throat Coat tea in the greenroom, Nina told me how she\u2019s been managing her Discord server during the tour, with separate threads for each city to help her fans connect as a community. That peer-to-peer gesture might seem at odds with the hyperconsumptive nature of the electronic circuit, but Nina\u2019s personal touch on mainstage music convinces me she\u2019d rather change the scene around her before she lets it change her.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            \u201cWith the shows, I hope I can throw a big party where everyone feels welcome and everyone can be really sweaty and exert a lot of energy, but also feel super happy and safe,\u201d she says. \u201cI just want everyone to sing along and hopefully make friends.\u201d\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            <i>4562\u2026 girlEDM\u2026<\/i> her stageshow drones. <i>I love my computer, I love my computer, I love my computer\u2026 ThisIsMyName Ninajirachi\u2026 I\u2019ve never been to C L E V E L A N D<\/i>.
