In a twist that has reality TV fans clutching their bedazzled phone cases, Jersey Shore<\/em> is officially wrapp<\/a>ing up its run on MTV. Yep, after years of wild vacations, family-style screaming matches, and enough hair gel to supply the entire state of New Jersey, the network has reportedly decided not to pick up a ninth season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation<\/em>. Cue the dramatic gasp!<\/p>\n

Now before you spiral into a full-blown GTL withdrawal, here\u2019s the tea: the show itself might be leaving MTV, but the cast is making it very clear they\u2019re not ready to pack up their blowouts and call it quits. Not even close.<\/p>\n

According to the latest chatter via TMZ<\/em> on Wednesday,\u00a0the decision comes as the parent company of MTV, Paramount<\/strong>, is knee-deep in some massive corporate reshuffling. The media<\/a> giant is currently navigating a huge restructuring after striking a jaw-dropping $111 billion deal to acquire Warner Bros<\/strong>. And when big-money deals like that happen, networks start tightening budgets and reevaluating which shows stay and which ones get sent to the reality TV afterlife.<\/p>\n

In a newly shared Instagram<\/strong> video, the cast pops up in a montage of clips speaking directly to fans. The family might be leaving one network, but they\u2019re not done bringing the chaos.<\/p>\n
