The gaming giant is seeking a refund for any duties it paid due to President Donald Trump\u2019s executive orders that invoke the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This lawsuit, filed in the U.S. Court of International Trade, comes after a Supreme Court decision struck down the tariffs that the president imposed under IEEPA, arguing that he exceeded his authority. More than <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/fedex-tariff-trump-supreme-court-costco-9c9cf3062b780dd8ce9f23f5c30891a0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">a thousand<\/a> other companies have already sued for refunds on the tariffs that they pay; according to Nintendo\u2019s complaint, viewed by TechCrunch, these tariffs have resulted in the collection of over $200 billion on imports in total.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe can confirm that we have filed a request,\u201d Nintendo told TechCrunch in a statement. \u201cWe have nothing else to share on the topic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In response to the Supreme Court\u2019s decision \u2014 which he called \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/trump-goes-on-wild-two-week-power-grab-after-humiliating-loss\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">extraordinarily anti-American<\/a>\u201d \u2014 President Trump <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/trump-global-tariff-15-percent-supreme-court-decision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">raised tariffs<\/a> from 10% to 15%.
