Britney Spears<\/strong> is dreading what may happ<\/a>en following her DUI.<\/p>\n

Days after the shocking arrest, a source close to the pop star revealed to Page Six<\/em> that \u201cshe\u2019s devastated\u201d and the incident \u201chas scared the crap out of her\u201d \u2014 mainly because she doesn\u2019t want to go to jail. The insider shared that \u201cBritney knows she has to face the consequences whatever they may be,\u201d but her inner circle is \u201cjust praying it is rehab and not jail.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the source, the I Wanna Go<\/em> singer \u201cknows what\u2019s happened is very, very bad and has the potential to impact not just her life, but everyone around her, especially her boys,\u201d Sean Preston<\/strong> and Jayden James<\/strong>. They added:<\/p>\n

\u201cShe feels a lot of regret over what has happened.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Now, Brit is just hoping the judge will show her some mercy. The insider noted that \u201cthe last thing she wants is to go to jail\u201d and claimed she \u201chas no one to blame but herself,\u201d which \u201cshe is well aware of.\u201d However, Britney may not be able to jail time.<\/p>\n

As we previously reported, after reports that cops found an \u201cunknown substance\u201d in her car, the California Highway Patrol<\/strong> confirmed Britney was taken into custody for \u201cdriving under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol.\u201d Sources familiar with the situation then claimed to TMZ<\/em> on Friday that the performer had Adderall in her possession at the time of the arrest. She reportedly got the medication while in Mexico, and the pills will be tested to see if they contain pure Adderall or an additional substance, such as fentanyl, cocaine, or meth.<\/p>\n

Since this is Britney\u2019s first DUI, a judge normally would not order jail time. But if the alleged drugs in her system contain serious levels of narcotics, that could change things. The judge may then order her to spend time behind bars.<\/p>\n

While Britney awaits her fate, the Page Six<\/em> insider shared that \u201cthe people around her are working on a plan\u201d to help her out \u2014 and it\u2019s not to get her well enough to return to work! They just want her \u201chappy\u201d and \u201chealthy.\u201d And fortunately, she is now open to treatment. The source added:<\/p>\n

\u201cThey would very much like to get her into a treatment center so she can have the time and space to get herself healthy and on the right track. It would be a medical detox. This is not about getting her back to work, this is about Britney living a fulfilled and healthy life with her boys and her family. That is her priority right now.
