\n\tJennifer Runyon, the veteran actress known for 1980s roles in Ghostbusters <\/em>and Charles in Charge<\/em>, has died. She was 65.<\/p>\n

\n\tHer brother David Runyon on Facebook<\/a> paid tribute to Runyon after she passed away on March 6: \u201cMy beautiful sister Jennifer has joined the angels in Heaven. Always dedicated to her convictions, Jenn was a wonderful mother and talented actress who especially loved the beauty in nature. Her soft voice and sweet smile will remain with me forever.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tBewitched<\/em> actress Erin Murphy on Instagram<\/a> pointed to the cause of death: \u201cSo sad to share that my friend Jennifer Runyon Corman has passed away after a brief battle with cancer. Some people you just know you\u2019ll be friends with before you even meet. She was a special lady. I\u2019ll miss you Jenn. My thoughts are with your family and beautiful children.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHer daughter Bayley Corman on Instagram<\/a> also paid tribute to her mother with the message: \u201cAll of the best parts of me came from you. I would give anything for one more day together.\u201d Runyon played a student in the Ivan Reitman\u2019s 1984 action comedy Ghostbusters <\/em>and Gwendolyn Pierce in the TV series<\/a> Charles in Charge.<\/em><\/p>\n

\n\tHer 1980s credits also include playing Cindy Brady in the TV movie A Very Brady Christmas, <\/em>Heather Merriweather in Up The Creek <\/em>and Vicky in The In Crowd.<\/em> Born on April 1, 1960 in Chicago, Runyon\u2019s father was Jim Runyon, a popular radio disc jockey.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a 1984 interview with Merv Griffin, Runyon recalled going to New York City to app<\/a>ear in the Another World<\/em> soap, before landing in Los Angeles to establish her acting career: \u201cI have been lucky because of the California look. I was nervous when I first started working as an actress that I would be typecast.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBut everything I have done has been so different, such a stretch for me. And it can only get better,\u201d Runyon added. She was married to Todd Corman and they also have a son, Wyatt.<\/p>\n

\n\tRunyon\u2019s other acting credits included Quantum Leap, Booker, Murder She Wrote, Gunfight at Silver Creek<\/em> and Spectral Squad: The Haunting of Sophie Lawson.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
