Princess Diana<\/strong> had a very different vision for the Royal family than what has become of it.<\/p>\n

Prior to her tragic passing in 1997, the people\u2019s princess had visions of her younger son Prince Harry<\/strong> growing up to succeed his father King Charles III<\/strong> as opposed to his older brother Prince William<\/strong>! That\u2019s at least what a new report suggests\u2026<\/p>\n

On Friday, an insider spoke to RadarOnline<\/em> about the late Princess, revealing she didn\u2019t believe William had any desire to take on the royal role. Royal expert Richard Kay<\/strong> told the outlet:<\/p>\n

\u201cWilliam has been a bit of a surprise. Certainly when his mother was still alive, he was a shy young man. Diana used to tell me she never really thought that William wanted the top job.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He continued:<\/p>\n

\u201cIn her mind, Diana was preparing the way for Harry to succeed his father. She had a little nickname for him, good King Harry. A throwback to medieval days. Of course, things didn\u2019t work out like that. I think we\u2019re all rather grateful that they haven\u2019t worked out like that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Royal expert spoke more about it in conversation with Palace Confidential<\/em>, adding:<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the consensus is that we got the right one. We\u2019ve got the right one in William as Prince of Wales.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Kay went on to predict William will have the odds stacked against him once he does come into the role amid recent family controversies, including Prince Andrew<\/strong>\u2018s connection to Jeffery Epstein<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

\u201cI think William is going to take on some of his father\u2019s ideas. For example, slimming down the monarchy even more. We will eventually become much more like the Scandinavian and European royal families, where they are not quite so involved in the daily life of those countries. Presumably, that will make the family less expensive to run. The big question William has got to answer is: why do the royals have all these homes? Why do they need so many at a time of great financial difficulty for so many people? That sense of extravagance is bad for the family.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He continued:<\/p>\n

\u201cWilliam is a young man who is app<\/a>reciative of that \u2014 I think we have to be very grateful to the Middleton family, who have a terrific grasp on what matters to ordinary people.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

According to RadarOnline<\/em>, Princess Catherine has become a foundational member of the Royal family:<\/p>\n

\u201cAmong people who work closely with the royal household, there is a strong feeling that Kate has become one of the central figures keeping everything steady while the institution navigates an unusually difficult chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
