Really icky stuff.<\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\" class=\"lazy-ad-parent\">\n<div id=\"section-69be3777c3f32-paragraph-slot\" class=\"incontent-ad lazy-ad-slot\" data-base-div-id=\"pb-slot-incontent-2\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Related: Jill Duggar Dillard &amp; Family React To Joseph\u2019s Arrest &amp; Molestation Charge: \u2018Shocked\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Amy\u2019s thoughts were first and foremost with the victim:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cMy first thoughts are with the victim, a child who deserved to be safe, protected and surrounded by people she could trust. The courage it took for her to come forward, especially after years of carrying something so heavy, cannot be overstated. That bravery deserves to be honored above all else.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\" class=\"lazy-ad-parent\">\n<div id=\"section-69be3777c3f36-paragraph-slot\" class=\"incontent-ad lazy-ad-slot\" data-base-div-id=\"pb-slot-incontent-2\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The 39-year-old went on to say that she\u2019s \u201cutterly shocked to hear about these allegations and Joseph\u2019s arrest,\u201d but she added:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAt the same time, I am not surprised that another alleged predator has emerged from this toxic system.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Oof. Of course, Joseph\u2019s arrest comes after his older brother <strong>Josh Duggar<\/strong> was arrested and found guilty of being in possession of child pornography. He also previously admitted to molesting several young girls, including some of his sisters. Amy\u2019s been outspoken about her family ever since. And she once again didn\u2019t hold back, doubling down:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\" class=\"lazy-ad-parent\">\n<div id=\"section-69be3777c3f39-paragraph-slot\" class=\"incontent-ad lazy-ad-slot\" data-base-div-id=\"pb-slot-incontent-2\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cFor years, I have spoken out about the importance of truth, accountability and protecting children, even when it meant going against my own family. Family ties should never equal automatic trust or access, especially when it comes to the safety of children. When an image is protected over truth, and silence is chosen over accountability, it creates an environment where abuse can thrive.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>She continued:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI have worked hard to break cycles in both my extended family and my im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>te family. My boundaries are in place for a reason, and I have used my voice to expose the darkness and advocate for the protection of children, a journey I wrote about in <em>Holy Disruptor: Shattering the Shiny Facade by Getting Louder with the Truth<\/em> as a way to help others recognize harmful patterns, speak the truth and find their voice in toxic systems.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\" class=\"lazy-ad-parent\">\n<div id=\"section-69be3777c3f3b-paragraph-slot\" class=\"incontent-ad lazy-ad-slot\" data-base-div-id=\"pb-slot-incontent-2\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>She concluded by circling back to the victim:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201c[I\u2019m] praying for the victim and her family as they walk through what is sure to be an incredibly difficult road ahead. Recognizing that we do not yet know the full picture, I am also praying for Joseph\u2019s wife, <strong>Kendra<\/strong>, as she begins to process this, and for the protection of their children. I\u2019m praying for eyes to be opened and above all, I pray that justice will be served to the fullest.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Amy also shared her statement on Instagram.
