Y\u2019all\u2026 Just get ready, because Gypsy Rose Blanchard<\/strong> is responding to all the backlash over THAT TikTok<\/strong> video.<\/p>\n

As we reported over the weekend, Gypsy and Natalie Reynolds<\/strong> got in some hot water after doing the \u201cwe listen and we don\u2019t judge\u201d trend on the video platform. The video went insanely viral for all the wrong reasons. What\u2019s usually a pretty funny and lighthearted concept turned into chaos when Gypsy made a joke about killing her mom, Dee Dee Blanchard<\/strong>. She said in the video:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe listen and we don\u2019t judge. I went to prison for eight and a half years because I [killed] my own mom.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But during a chat with TMZ<\/em>, Gypsy is trying to explain herself. In a new interview on Monday, the reporter asked how the video came about, and she seemingly hasn\u2019t learned anything! Because she made a joke again<\/em> after explaining how she just wanted to collaborate with Natalie because she\u2019s a huge TikToker:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not one to judge anyone\u2019s past, obviously, so I\u2019m like, \u2018What happ<\/a>ens if we did the \u2018We listen, and we don\u2019t judge\u2019 trend, and we just hit the hard topics very bluntly and just own it and take accountability for the wrongs that we\u2019ve done.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She\u2019s \u201cnot one to judge anyone\u2019s past\u201d for sure. OMG.<\/p>\n

Gypsy explained she just wanted to make new \u201ccontent\u201d and referred to herself as an influencer looking to take \u201caccountability.\u201d She said the video was for her audience who likes \u201cto see me grow\u201d:<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the first time that I tried something different and a head-on approach \u2026 unfortunately, it wasn\u2019t received like we wanted.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It\u2019s understandable why it wasn\u2019t well-received. We mean, this is joking about a real, serious crime that she actually went to jail for. It upset a lot of people, and her recent perception in the world hasn\u2019t been helping, either\u2026<\/p>\n

The Life After Lock Up<\/em> star said she made an \u2018X\u2019 symbol in regard to her mother\u2019s murder to avoid TikTok\u2019s censors. She also defended her right to joke about it, explaining that it was kind of the big elephant in the room, and she felt like if she didn\u2019t address it she\u2019d get backlash. In her eyes, there was no winning.<\/p>\n

All in all, Gypsy said:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a bold move on my part, and I think that my delivery was just not handled properly.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She also took a moment to apologize:<\/p>\n

\u201cI do deeply apologize to anyone who may have been offended by it. That was never my intention. I was not laughing about it. I don\u2019t think it\u2019s funny to joke about a heavy topic and my past. I apologize because the delivery was wrong on that. I am trying to be my authentic self, and if my authentic self is saying I did something bad in my past but look at where I am now, that\u2019s where I\u2019m coming from with it. But I would never joke about my past. So I do apologize if it came off too abrasive.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

If she doesn\u2019t think it\u2019s funny to joke about, then why did she do it? Come on, the video was clearly done with the intention to be humorous, Gypsy. Claiming she \u201cwould never\u201d joke about her past?? Be serious, now\u2026<\/p>\n
