\n Three in 10 employees don\u2019t take a lunch break when working from home \u2013 according to new research.<\/p>\n

A survey of 2,000 Americans working from home found 29 percent don\u2019t take any meal breaks during the workday.<\/p>\n

And six in 10 feel guilty for taking any kind of break during work hours.<\/p>\n

Conducted by OnePoll on behalf of Freshly<\/a>, the study also probed workers\u2019 productivity concerns, as well as the new hats they\u2019ve begun to wear within their households.<\/p>\n

Sixty-six percent of respondents agree, now that they\u2019re working from home full-time, they\u2019re constantly worried about their productivity.<\/p>\n

This is probably because, in addition to work responsibilities, workers also contend with three distractions from their partner on a typical day \u2014 with neighbors, deliveries and pets also commonly cited as sources of distraction.<\/p>\n

Those with kids can expect an additional three interruptions on an average workday.<\/p>\n

The workout of attempting to maintain work-life balance under these conditions is weighing on respondents, as 65 percent said that at the end of each workday, they find themselves exhausted from having to juggle the demands of both work and family life while working from home.<\/p>\n

When it comes to new roles they\u2019ve begun to play within their home as a result of beginning to work remotely, three in 10 have become the household chauffeur.<\/p>\n

Thirty-seven percent have become the \u201cdaycare supervisor,\u201d and four in 10 have been app<\/a>ointed the \u201cremote schooling tutor.\u201d<\/p>\n

And half of respondents have become the household chef since beginning to work from home full-time.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs more Americans join the at-home workforce, it is clear they are wearing \u2018many hats at home\u2019 that often eliminate the time needed to prepare fresh meals,\u201d said Freshly Founder and CEO Michael Wystrach.<\/p>\n

The survey also examined the impact of working from home on Americans\u2019 mealtimes and eating habits.<\/p>\n

Seven in 10 said they often find themselves stumped on what to make for lunch during a busy workday filled with mid-day calls and meetings.<\/p>\n

And 68 percent said that what used to be planned meal times before they started working from home have now turned into a series of unplanned, frantic snack breaks between calls and meetings.<\/p>\n

The effects of these new habits are starting to show, as seven in 10 said traditional mealtimes no longer have any bearing on when they\u2019re hungry or will eat.<\/p>\n

In addition to changes in eating schedules, 64 percent admit their nutrition takes a backseat when they work from home.<\/p>\n

And 63 percent said the stress of working in their home environment and the fatigue that comes during and at the end of this kind of workday has made them more likely to order out for lunch and dinner.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust because they don\u2019t have the time to cook in the middle of a busy workday, it doesn\u2019t mean they need to skip meals altogether or resort to unhealthy, expensive or unsatisfying options out of convenience,\u201d Wystrach added.<\/p>\n

\u201cOptions like Freshly require no prep, are affordable and don\u2019t skimp on nutrition or taste.\u201d<\/p>\n

  3. Dog walker: 39 percent<\/li>\n
  4. Daycare supervisor: 37 percent<\/li>\n
  5. Handyman\/woman: 36 percent<\/li>\n
  6. Chauffeur: 30 percent<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Spending more time with family and getting things done around the house: 45 percent<\/li>\n
    2. Eating more meals with family: 40 percent<\/li>\n
    3. Scheduling a cable or other at-home appointment during the day: 40 percent<\/li>\n
    4. Efficient multitasking: 39 percent<\/li>\n
    5. Being home for deliveries: 37 percent<\/li>\n
    6. Keeping other household members quiet while I worked: 33 percent<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
