Wanderstop<\/em> developer Ivy Road will shut down on March 31, the studio announced<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s hard to put into words how thankful we are to have been able to work together on Wanderstop<\/em>\u2014this is an incredible group of people!\u201d the studio said. \u201cAnd while we had a new project, Engine Angel<\/em>, that we were excited about, unfortunately the funding didn\u2019t come to fruition and the studio had to shut down.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Ivy Road, there is still \u201cone last surprise brewing\u201d for Wanderstop<\/em>, \u201cone [the studio has] been working on for the last year to help find a way for Wanderstop<\/em> to reach new players.\u201d Publisher Annapurna Interactive will share more information about this in the future.<\/p>\n

Wanderstop<\/em>, which is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series<\/a>, and PC via Steam<\/a>, will remain available for purchase.<\/p>\n

Today, we must share some bittersweet news<\/a>: Ivy Road is closing its doors as of March 31, 2026.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s hard to put into words how thankful we are to have been able to work together on Wanderstop<\/em>\u2014this is an incredible group of people! And while we had a new project, Engine Angel<\/em>, that we were excited about, unfortunately the funding didn\u2019t come to fruition and the studio had to shut down.<\/p>\n

What Does This Mean for Wanderstop<\/em>?<\/strong><\/p>\n

There\u2019s still one last surprise brewing, one we\u2019ve been working on for the last year to help find a way for Wanderstop<\/em> to reach new players. The great folks at Annapurna Interactive will be sharing more news about this in the future, and we\u2019re looking forward to you all seeing what it is!<\/p>\n

The game<\/a> will still be available to play and purchase on the platforms it\u2019s currently available on. If you have future requests \/ feedback \/ bugs related to the game, please reach out to [email\u00a0protected].<\/p>\n

We also wanted to be sure to share a chapter select code that can be used to help if you\u2019re a future player who happ<\/a>ens to get stuck in an area\u2014or if you just wanted to experience a specific chapter or moment of the game once more.<\/p>\n

Putting in this code will open up a \u201cChapter Select\u201d that allows you to start at the beginning of one of the game\u2019s cycles.<\/p>\n

How to Input the Chapter Select Code?<\/strong><\/p>\n

While in Chapter Select, using the D-pad, input: UP, LEFT, DOWN, RIGHT, UP, B (RMB), UP, RIGHT, DOWN, LEFT, UP, B (RMB), UP, DOWN, UP.<\/p>\n

What Does This Mean for the Team and Engine Angel<\/em>?<\/strong><\/p>\n

While we tried to shop the concept around and find a publishing partner, unfortunately we weren\u2019t able to land a deal. It\u2019s a particularly tough time for raising game funds, so while we weren\u2019t necessarily surprised, we are disappointed that we won\u2019t be able to bring Engine Angel<\/em> to life together as a team. Liz\u2019s concept<\/a> is incredible, and we hope it may someday come to fruition!<\/p>\n

For the team, this means many folks will be looking for work! If you\u2019re in the position to recommend or hire developers for roles, please check out this thread on Bluesky for more info about the people on our team who\u2019re currently actively looking for work!<\/p>\n
