Netflix has finally revealed a firmer release window for STEEL BALL RUN Jojo\u2019s Bizarre Adventure 2nd STAGE<\/em>, along with details about the anime<\/a>\u2019s release plan.<\/span><\/p>\n

STEEL BALL RUN JoJo\u2019s Bizarre Adventure 2nd Stage<\/em>, which received a teaser late last month, will premiere this fall. Instead of a single extended episode or a batch of episodes, 2nd Stage<\/em> will have its episodes dropped weekly.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Netflix also says that \u201cWe are planning a split\u2011cour release across the entire run of episodes,\u201d and that 2nd Stage<\/em> is the \u201cnext cour.\u201d It adds that \u201cThis release schedule is part of our original plan and reflects the wishes of the production committee.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The 47-minute first episode of STEEL BALL RUN Jojo\u2019s Bizarre<\/em> Adventure<\/em>, an action-adventure title based on the\u00a0seventh part of\u00a0Hirohiko A<\/b>raki\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0Jojo\u2019s Bizarre Adventure<\/em> manga, premiered on March 19. The timeline for future episodes\u2019 release was unclear at the time, with director Yasuhiro Kimura <\/b>telling Anime Trending contributor Daryl Harding, \u201cI don\u2019t know. It takes a lot of time to make just one episode, but production is going smoothly, and I\u2019m looking forward to seeing the finished episode as much as you are!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Steel Ball Run<\/em><\/i>\u00a0manga ran from 2004 to 2011. It was initially serialized in Shonen Jump before moving to the monthly, seinen magazine Ultra Jump (subsequent\u00a0Jojo\u2019s Bizarre Adventure<\/em>\u00a0<\/i>installments have also been Ultra Jump titles). Viz Media<\/a> is publishing it in English.<\/span><\/p>\n

The anime\u2019s synopsis reads:<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s 1890, in America, the Steel Ball Run \u2014 the first horse racing championship across the North American continent \u2014 was about to begin. Spanning around 4,000 miles, the race offered 50 million dollars as the winning prize. Johnny Joestar, once being hailed as a genius jockey, is now paralysed and lost in despair. He finds hope in the mysterious phenomena caused by Gyro Zeppeli, an outlaw aiming to win the race, and determines to participate in the Steel Ball Run Race. Each having their own goal in mind, the two form an alliance and set foot upon the gruelling adventure and race.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Jojo\u2019s Bizarre Adventure\u00a0<\/em>series<\/a>, which depicts the varied adventures of the Joestar family, began in 1986. Its ninth part\u00a0The JOJOLands<\/em>\u00a0debuted in February 2023. The manga initially inspired an OVA series and a movie that were produced by the now-inactive\u00a0Another Push Pin Planning<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The current line of\u00a0david production<\/strong>-produced anime, including an OVA adaptation of the\u00a0Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan<\/i>\u00a0spin-off, started in 2012. The\u00a0Steel Ball Run<\/em> anime was preceded by 2022\u2019s\u00a0Jojo\u2019s Bizarre Adventure<\/em>:<\/em>\u00a0Stone Ocean<\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n
