The fracture centers around Trump\u2019s explosive Easter message directed at Iran, posted to Truth Social<\/strong> just as tensions escalated over the Strait of Hormuz. In that post from Sunday morning, the president issued a warning that stunned even longtime supporters, by swearing and<\/em>\u00a0threatening military action against civilian infrastructure if Iran failed to act:<\/p>\n

But to mock other people\u2019s faith is to mock the idea of faith itself. And we should never mock that because at its core is the acknowledgement that we are not in charge of the universe.
