Michael Patrick<\/strong> has sadly passed away.<\/p>\n

At just 35 years old, the actor, who app<\/a>eared in one episode of Game<\/a> of Thrones<\/em> in 2016, has passed away. His wife Naomi Sheehan<\/strong> announced the sad news<\/a> on Instagram<\/strong> on Wednesday, revealing:<\/p>\n

\u201cLast night, Mick sadly passed away in the Northern Ireland Hospice<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She went on to detail that Michael was diagnosed with \u201cMotor Neurone Disease,\u201d more commonly known as ALS, in 2023, and \u201cwas admitted 10 days ago and was cared for by the incredible team there. He passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

So, so sad.<\/p>\n

For those who don\u2019t know, ALS is a \u201cnervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord,\u201d which over time affects speech and mobility, according to the Mayo Clinic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Naomi added in her message:<\/p>\n

\u201cWords can\u2019t describe how broken-hearted we are. It\u2019s been said more than once that Mick was an inspiration to everyone who was privileged enough to come into contact with him, not just in the past few years during his illness but in every day of his life. He lived a life as full as any human can live. Joy, abundance of spirit, infectious laughter. A titan of a ginger haired man.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
