Selig in a statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While the CFTC normally has five commissioners, Selig is currently the only one on the commission, following <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2025-12-19\/senate-confirms-selig-as-chief-of-cftc-and-hill-to-run-the-fdic\">his confirmation in December<\/a> and the departure of previous acting chairman Caroline Pham (who left to join crypto company MoonPay).<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Arizona has filed charges against Kalshi accusing the company of operating an illegal gambling business in the state without a license. The announcement of the restraining order comes just a couple days after a federal judge allowed Arizona\u2019s case to move forward, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2026-04-11\/kalshi-wins-reprieve-from-arizona-criminal-case-at-cftc-s-urging\">according to Bloomberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The CFTC also filed suits seeking to stop similar cases from moving forward in Connecticut and Illinois.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
