Actor Jim Caviezel, who played Jesus in 2004\u2019s \u201cThe Passion of the Christ,\u201d said writer\/director Mel Gibson has written a forthcoming sequel.<\/p>\n

\u201cMel Gibson just sent me the third picture, the third draft. It\u2019s coming,\u201d he told Breitbart<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s called \u2018The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection.\u2019 It\u2019s going to be the biggest film in world history.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Caviezel, 51, may talk a big game<\/a>, the first film was no slouch. Made on the relatively modest budget of $30 million, it took in $622 million worldwide. It was also controversial, being accused of antisemitism, and was parodied on an episode of \u201cSouth Park.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPassion\u201d followed Jesus\u2019 life through to his crucifixion. The new film, the actor said, would depict his biblical resurrection and the events that followed.<\/p>\n
