{"id":722649,"date":"2026-04-19T03:55:10","date_gmt":"2026-04-19T00:55:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/vc-ron-conway-says-he-has-a-rare-form-of-cancer\/"},"modified":"2026-04-19T03:55:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-19T00:55:10","slug":"vc-ron-conway-says-he-has-a-rare-form-of-cancer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/vc-ron-conway-says-he-has-a-rare-form-of-cancer\/","title":{"rendered":"VC Ron Conway says he has a \u2018rare form of cancer\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p id=\"speakable-summary\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Longtime venture capitalist Ron Conway said Friday that he was \u201crecently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RonConway\/status\/2045298563970920463\">a post on X<\/a>, Conway wrote that he \u201cwill be stepping back from some of my usual activities,\u201d but he will \u201ccontinue to support\u201d founders backed by his firm SV Angel: \u201cWith a more focused and balanced schedule, I can prioritize treatments while helping SV Angel founders at inflection points like we always do!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Conway also said SV Angel will be \u201cunchanged,\u201d as his son Topher Conway \u201chas made all of our investment decisions for the better part of the last decade.\u201d And he noted that another son, Ronny Conway, joined as a managing partner in 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThey bring experience from nearly every major <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a> cycle in Silicon Valley and are now focused on partnering with founders building the future of AI,\u201d Conway said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added that he\u2019s not revealing \u201cthe specific type of cancer\u201d in his diagnosis, because he doesn\u2019t want \u201cspeculation\u201d about the prognosis, but he said he remains \u201coptimistic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI am fortunate to have the best\/amazing team of UCSF doctors in San Francisco, and as you know, I never back down from a fight,\u201d Conway said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
