Fox; The CW<\/span><\/p><figcaption><\/figcaption><\/div>\n<div>What you see in a TV show&#8217;s first episode (whether it&#8217;s the premiere or a backdoor pilot in the case of spinoffs) isn&#8217;t always what you get for the rest of the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The casts of several of the most popular shows looked quite different when they were first introduced; all three\u00a0<em>NCIS<\/em>es lost characters from their backdoor pilots to their series&#8217; pickups.\u00a0<em>Brooklyn Nine-Nine<\/em> had a third less-than-useful member of the squad.<\/p>\n<p>Scroll down for these and more characters that were dropped after pilots. When the series was picked up, Ike was nowhere to be seen and they were joined by other characters, including Deputy U.S. Marshal Isabel Zambada (Mercedes Masohn).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div data-hash=\"4\">\n<div> <picture><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"The 100 Kelly Hu Cece\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/the-100-kelly-hu-cece-1014x570.jpg\"><\/img><\/picture><\/div>\n<p><span>The CW<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_100%E2%80%98s_Callie_%E2%80%9CCece%E2%80%9D_Cartwig\"><\/span><em>The 100<\/em>&#8216;s Callie &#8220;Cece&#8221; Cartwig<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Kelly Hu\u2019s character was an Officer on the Ark and was to look after her friend Abby\u2019s (Paige Turco) daughter Clarke (Eliza Taylor), if she\u2019d been executed in the premiere. She was never seen again, and according to creator Jason Rothenberg on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a>, \u201cCece was floated off camera. Truth is things change between pilot and series. Mainly budget.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div data-hash=\"5\">\n<div> <picture><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"NCIS JAG Vivian Blackadder\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/ncis-gibbs-blackadder-1014x570.jpg\"><\/img><\/picture><\/div>\n<p><span>CBS<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"NCIS%E2%80%98_Vivian_Blackadder\"><\/span><em>NCIS<\/em>&#8216; Vivian Blackadder<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Back when\u00a0<em>NCIS<\/em> was just a possibility and a backdoor pilot in <em>JAG<\/em> Season 8 (\u201cIce Queen\u201d and \u201cMeltdown\u201d), Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs\u2019 (Mark Harmon) team consisted of Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly, who would go on to star in 13 seasons) and Vivian Blackadder (Robyn Lively), who, in Gibbs\u2019 eyes, blew an operation. When the series was picked up, it was just Gibbs and Tony, and in the first episode, Caitlin Todd (Sasha Alexander) went from the Secret Service to NCIS.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div data-hash=\"6\">\n<div> <picture><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"NCIS Los Angeles Backdoor Pilot Lara Macy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/ncis-gibbs-macy-la-backdoor-pilot-1014x570.jpg\"><\/img><\/picture><\/div>\n<p><span>Sonja Flemming\/CBS<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"NCIS_Los_Angeles%E2%80%98_Lara_Macy\"><\/span><em>NCIS: Los Angeles<\/em>&#8216; Lara Macy<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>When <em>NCIS<\/em>\u2018\u00a0Gibbs and Special Agent McGee (Sean Murray) headed to Los Angeles to work with the Office of Special Projects in the spinoff\u2019s backdoor pilot, its operations manager was Lara Macy (Louise Lombard). But when the series was picked up, Linda Hunt\u2019s Hetty Lange filled that role (and still does). Instead, Carlton Lassiter\u2019s (Timothy Omundson) partner was Lucinda Barry (Anne Dudek). As creator Steve Franks explained to\u00a0<em>Entertainment Weekly<\/em>, \u201cPeople didn\u2019t understand Lassiter was separated from his wife.
