\n A Massachusetts couple who allegedly let their high school-aged kid throw a party with alcohol and a \u201ccomplete lack\u201d of coronavirus precautions will face charges for allowing the shindig, which forced a local school to adopt a remote learning plan.<\/p>\n

The unidentified parents and their juvenile child were hit with charges for allegedly violating the Bay State\u2019s social<\/a> host guidelines with the party at their Sudbury home on Sept. 11, NBC Boston reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Police responded to the rager that night, sending about 15 of the high schoolers scrambling into nearby woods to evade the cops, a local ABC affiliate reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At least 13 other students who spoke to police that night gave fake names \u2014 leaving a total of 28 students who were at the party unaccounted for, the report said.<\/p>\n

The superintendent of the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional School District said in a letter that the party involved alcohol and a \u201ccomplete lack\u201d of precautions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.<\/p>\n

Because of the unidentified students who were at the party, Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School was forced to start the school year fully remote, according to NBC Boston.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter the intensity of hard work and planning that has been done to be able to start school with students in-person, we are profoundly disapp<\/a>ointed at this sudden change of plans,\u201d Wong wrote in the letter to parents.<\/p>\n

The local board of health is asking anyone who attended the party to get tested for coronavirus.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
