\n\tFox is jumping into the dating-show pool with a series<\/a> featuing people who want out of the dating pool.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe network has picked up a show called Marriage Market for the 2026-27 season. Comedia<\/a>n Whitney Cummings will host the series, which will follow single people \u201cwho are officially over swiping, ghosting, and endless first dates\u201d and their families, who will do the matchmaking for them. The catch: Once those families think they\u2019ve found a good match, the couple gets engaged on the spot, and both the couples and their families move in together to see if the arranged relationship will work out.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe show comes from Fox Entertainment Studios, with showrunner Alycia Rossiter and John Carr executive producing. Fox is also selling the format worldwide, with a version of the show having already aired in Germany in 2023.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMarriage Market<\/em>\u00a0gives all new meaning to \u2018shotgun wedding,\u2019 turning dating on its head with one of the most extreme marketplace spectacles you\u2019ve ever seen,\u201d Fox Television Network president Michael Thorn said in a statement. \u201cWatching families come together to make these matches is deeply relatable and wildly emotional, giving this distinctive concept all the ingredients of a signature Fox unscript<\/a>ed series.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMarriage Market<\/em> is the first new unscripted show Fox has ordered for next season. It joins a pair of dramas, Baywatch<\/em> and The Interrogator<\/em>, in the network\u2019s lineup for 2026-27.
