\n President Trump blasted Joe Biden\u2019s record in back-to-back rallies in Ohio on Monday evening \u2014 questioning the Democratic nominee\u2019s working class roots and accusing him of selling out American workers.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor 47 years, Joe Biden shook the hands of American workers and then stabbed them in the back,\u201d the commander in chief told thousands of supporters at an airport in Dayton.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe betrayed you, he lied to you, he abused you, which is why it\u2019s time to retire, Joe Biden. This is serious,\u201d he continued, accusing the former veep of being a \u201cshameless phony\u201d who betrayed blue collar workers with disastrous free trade deals.<\/p>\n

With just 43 days until the election, Trump flew to Dayton and then Toledo where he addressed throngs of supporters in the Rust Belt state that he won by 500,000 votes in 2016.<\/p>\n

In recent weeks, Biden has leaned into his working-class upbringing in Scranton, Pennsylvania, while accusing Trump of being a Park Avenue elite.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll that President\u00a0Trump\u00a0could see from\u00a0Park Avenue\u00a0is Wall\u00a0Street. All he thinks about is the stock market,\u201d Biden said at a CNN town hall last week.<\/p>\n

But Trump sought to dismantle Biden\u2019s 47-year legacy in Washington, highlighting his support for free trade deals like NAFTA and China\u2019s entrance to the World Trade Organization.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Democrats literally waged war on the American workers for half a century. Look what they\u2019ve done,\u201d Trump said, touting himself as the president of blue collar workers.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you know many car plants we\u2019re bringing back to Michigan?\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cThirty-thousand Dayton families saw their jobs disappear overnight,\u201d he said. \u201cOhio lost one in three manufacturing jobs, two out of three iron and steel mill jobs and half of its auto jobs, courtesy of Joe Biden and that crew, that whole ideology.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump also hammered Democrats for becoming increasingly progressive and repeated his claim that their nominee would be a Trojan horse for the noisy left flank of the party.<\/p>\n

The 77-year-old former Delaware senator has rejected this charge, saying the American public know who he is.<\/p>\n

\u201cJoe Biden is weak. He\u2019s too scared to stand up to the radical left at his own party and he\u2019s terrified of standing up to China,\u201d Trump said to cheers from supporters in Dayton.<\/p>\n

While Biden continues to lead in national polls, the race has tightened in battleground states in recent months, with the Democrat\u2019s lead essentially vanishing in states like Texas, Michigan and Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n

\u201cProud citizens like you helped build this country, and together we are taking back our country,\u201d Trump said at the closing of the raucous Toledo rally.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are returning power to you, the American people,\u201d Trump went on. \u201cWith your help, your devotion, and your drive we are going to keep on working, we are going to keep on fighting and we are going to keep on winning, winning, winning.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
