A main visual for Sekiro: No Defeat<\/em> has been revealed, featuring the shinobi Sekiro\/Wolf and the Divine Heir Kuro standing on blood-soaked snow. It was also announced that September 4 will mark the start of the anime<\/a>\u2019s three-week theatrical run in Japan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sekiro: No Defeat\u00a0<\/em>is due for a streaming release sometime this year, with Crunchyroll exclusively streaming the anime outside of regions Japan, China, Korea, Russia, and Belarus. It\u2019ll also be at Annecy 2026 as part of the film festival\u2019s Midnight Specials category, which houses \u201cmore radical, whackier, and often disturbing form of animation, blending satire, experimentation and high-octane thrills.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The adaptation of FromSoftware<\/strong>\u2018s 2018 action-adventure game<\/a> is being helmed by\u00a0Kenichi Kutsuna\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>(storyboarder and director for\u00a0Magical Destroyers<\/em>,\u00a0Vlad Love\u00a0<\/i>(\u201cMitsugu\u201d Version), and\u00a0The Fire Hunter<\/em>\u2018s opening animations) at Qzil.la<\/strong>. The latter had to issue a statement denying the use of generative AI in this particular production after suspicion arose due to the studio\u2019s interest in the technology<\/a> (it has since scrubbed the term \u201cAI\u201d from its website) and the anime\u2019s distinctive look.<\/span><\/p>\n

Daisuke Namikawa<\/strong> is the voice of Wolf, while\u00a0<\/strong>Miyuki Sato<\/strong> plays Kuro\/The Divine Heir.<\/span><\/p>\n
