There are changes coming to Paramount Network, and they will likely affect the hit series Yellowstone<\/em><\/a>, which ended its third season in August and has already been renewed for a fourth.<\/p>\n

Not only will it have a new name (Paramount Movie Network, “within the next year”), but a new strategy as well, Variety<\/em><\/a> reports. The network, owned by ViacomCBS, is planning to feature a made-for-TV movie with big name stars every week. As for its television shows, it’s sticking to script<\/a>ed \u2014 the unscripted\u00a0Ink Master<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0Wife Swap<\/em><\/a>, and\u00a0Battle of the Fittest Couples<\/em><\/a> are all done, while\u00a0Bar Rescue<\/em><\/a> and\u00a0Lip Sync Battle<\/em><\/a> are expected to air on another ViacomCBS-owned network \u2014 so\u00a0Yellowstone<\/em> isn’t going anywhere.<\/p>\n

However, there may still be changes coming to how you watch the Dutton family’s drama. Rather than air an episode a week, you may instead get two at a time, “as a cinematic experience … with limited commercial interruptions,” according to the report.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, with this new made-for-TV movie plan, there will likely be a miniseries or scripted series like Yellowstone<\/em>\u00a0in each quarter that could lead to future spinoffs as movies or sequels.<\/p>\n

As for the rest of Paramount Network’s planned scripted programming,\u00a0Yellowstone<\/em> creator Taylor Sheridan’s\u00a0Mayor of Kingstown<\/em> isn’t expected to go anywhere.\u00a0Paradise Lost<\/em> and the limited series with Jessica Chastain<\/a> as country music’s Tammy Wynette are set to also debut on Spectrum. (The latter will also be available on the rebranded CBS All Access, Paramount+.)<\/p>\n

So that means we’ll still be tuning in to Paramount Network \u2014 or Paramount Movie Network, if the change has taken effect by then \u2014 to see how\u00a0Yellowstone<\/em> Season 4 resolves that major cliffhanger that left the lives of three Duttons, including patriarch John (Kevin Costner<\/a>), hanging in the balance.<\/p>\n
