COVER Corp. has announced that it will be shutting down the Holoearth<\/em> service on June 28 (21:00 JST) this year. In an official statement, the company said that the decision was made following \u201ccareful consideration\u201d on how the service was going to be implemented in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is our hope that the myriad of experiences in Holoearth, the bonds formed among users, and the time spent in this world will remain with everyone as cherished memories.<\/span><\/i><\/span>
While the time remaining until the end of service is short, we hope you can continue to enjoy the world of Holoearth until the final moment.<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

In a separate statement by Holoearth<\/em>\u2019s Project Lead Ikko Fukuda, he stated that while there may have been some shortcomings on their part along the way of the service\u2019s development, they are grateful that everyone continued to visit, enjoy, and support Holoearth<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Holoearth was created with the theme<\/a> of \u201canother world,\u201d and has strived to be a place where talents, creators, and users can connect and make new experiences that transcend the boundaries of the virtual dimension.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/span>
The time you spent there, along with each encounter and memory, are precious to us, and will remain with everyone involved in this project. Furthermore, the technologies and learnings cultivated through Holoearth will live on in hololive production\u2019s future efforts, helping pave the way to new experiences.<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

As of this writing, the sale of the Premium HoloCoin for the platform has been discontinued, with both Holoearth<\/em> Marketplace\u2019s review process and editing discontinued effective immedia<\/a>tely.<\/span><\/p>\n

The sale of official Holoearth<\/em> premium items, as well as user-created items, will be discontinued on June 3, 2026, a few weeks before the platform\u2019s termination of service.<\/span><\/p>\n

Holoearth<\/em> was first announced in October 2021 as one of the projects within hololive Alternative<\/em>, the multimedia project by COVER Corp. focused on metaverse experiences. The premise of this game<\/a> focused on three key elements: a sandbox game, a lobby system, and an avatar creation system.<\/span><\/p>\n
