\n\tCanadian actor Stewart McLean has been found dead after the Royal Canadian Mounted Police announced Thursday that his missing person case was turned into a homicide investigation. <\/p>\n

\n\tCanada\u2019s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team announced on Friday that McLean\u2019s remains were located in the Lions Bay area, per People<\/a><\/em>. Lucas Talent, the Vancouver-based talent agency that represents the actor, shared a tribute in his honor on Facebook<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved client, Stew McLean,\u201d the post reads. \u201cHe was always such a pleasure to deal with \u2014 dedicated, professional, eager, and endlessly funny! Many casting directors have reached out to share their condolences with Stew\u2019s family and with our agency, and every message says the same thing: what a truly great guy he was, and how deeply he will be missed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMcLean was reported missing on May 18, and was last seen on May 15 at his home in Lions Bay. The RCMP began seeking public assistance in the pursuit of finding the actor on May 19. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSquamish RCMP initiated an investigation and, through investigative efforts, uncovered evidence that led investigators to believe Mr. McLean was the victim of a homicide,\u201d Canada\u2019s Mounties said in a Thursday press release.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOn May 20, IHIT (Integrated Homicide Investigation Team) deployed and assumed conduct of the investigation. Squamish RCMP continues to work closely with IHIT and the Integrated Forensic Identification Service (IFIS) to advance the investigation,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe actor has app<\/a>eared in a season seven episode of\u00a0Netflix\u2018s\u00a0Virgin River,<\/em>\u00a0a second season episode of the Fox crime drama\u00a0Murder in a Small Town,<\/em>\u00a0in the Paramount+ true crime series<\/a>\u00a0Happy Face,<\/em>\u00a0and the Lifetime TV movie\u00a0The Killer Inside: The Ruth Finley Story.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
