AI models will be able to transfer funds, swap tokens, check balances and review transaction history with a new tool from Base.<\/p>\n

Base, the Ethereum layer-2 blockchain from crypto exchange Coinbase, has launched a tool to connect Base accounts to artificial intelligence agents for blockchain operations.<\/p>\n

Base said<\/a> on Tuesday that its new Base MCP (Model Context Protocol) allows users to ask AI agents such as Anthropic\u2019s Claude or OpenAI\u2019s ChatGPT to transfer funds, swap tokens, check balances, review transaction history, and use supported app<\/a>s within the ecosystem.<\/p>\n

The tool lets users manage their crypto directly from an AI model\u2019s chat interface and can also interact with crypto protocols such as Morpho, Moonwell, Uniswap, Aerodrome, Avantis, Bankr and Virtuals, said Base.<\/p>\n
