&amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> of casual conversations with exciting new artists.<\/i>\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            This winter, I was introduced to The Femcels through their riveting debut album <i>I Have To Get Hotter<\/i>. Across 32 minutes of exhilarating electro-twee, Rowan Miles and Gabriella Turton examine the all-too-human sensations of living in the real world, from the stoned and sartorial to the indignities of dating as a young adult in the modern era. And contrary to their ragebaiting moniker, the British electro-twee duo are neither <i>hikikomori<\/i> shut-ins nor Lysistratan celibates \u2013 as terminally online as Gabriella and Rowan clearly are, their music only occasionally brushes up against the digital.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            Instead, the London singers\u2019 vignettes take on an almost absurdist quality, whether trading s<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>hic pickup advice on \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=JigGssPjDmc\">You\u2019re Gay And You\u2019re In Love With Me (Please Let Me Touch Your Boobs)<\/a>\u201d or dousing a lover in water the morning after \u201cbecause I knew he would never text me\u201d (\u201c<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/4aLNa64NC64?si=OG8zGtitdfol33v_\">I\u2019m So Fat<\/a>\u201d). And there&#8217;s a tongue-in-cheek edge to much of their antics, like putting Adam22 on their album cover or <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=b4tQM3Gx77A\">this ridiculous cover of &#8220;Lollipop&#8221;<\/a> by Lil Wayne. But its distinct blend of acoustic and synthesized textures, combined with our protagonists\u2019 knack for uncanny, indelible images, helps to explain in part why The Femcels were playing early shows alongside fakemink and EsDeeKid back when they only had a few songs out. I heard he was the coolest guy in the worldz. I feel like I\u2019m Roman, my boyfriend is Tom.
