Speaking on \u201cThe Joe Budden Podcast<\/a>\u201d over the weekend, Durant was asked about the Houston swingman\u2019s reported bedroom visit from a female COVID-19 testing official who worked in the bubble. Although the incident resulted in House missing three game<\/a>s against the Lakers and being booted early from Orlando (the Rockets were eliminated shortly after), Durant didn\u2019t object too much to House\u2019s actions.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019ve been in a bubble away from some action for three months? I mean, you can\u2019t blame him, dog,\u201d said Durant, the Nets star who is recovering from a ruptured Achilles and did not partake in the bubble postseason with Brooklyn.\u00a0\u201cAnd I heard it was no females at all outside of [COVID testers.] The maids were all men, there was nothing but men around.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter a couple months, you down 3-1?\u00a0 Nah. He said \u2018I don\u2019t give a f\u2013k no more man.\u201d<\/p>\n

While players have been allowed four guests each since the conclusion of the first round of the playoffs \u2014 a figure that can reportedly be exceeded for children<\/a> \u2014 ESPN\u2019s Stephen A. Smith marked his skepticism<\/a> over the bubble\u2019s strict rules back in June.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo we really think the \u2018recreational activities\u2019 that these guys are accustomed to are going to be compromised for three months?\u2026 You really, really think they\u2019re honoring a bubble for three months?\u201d<\/p>\n

And back in July, The Athletic\u2019s Marcus Thompson said on the site\u2019s \u201cThe Athletic NBA Show\u201d podcast<\/a> that players were already finding creative ways to circumvent their lack of romantic visitors.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom what I was told people are already working around it. You can\u2019t have family but you can have a trainer or a massage therapist. So what I\u2019ve been told is that there have been some pretty hot massage therapists come though. There\u2019s a couple trainers who you know\u2026they\u2019re a backdoor is what I\u2019m saying.\u201d<\/p>\n
