“Actor John Boyega joins thousands at massive George Floyd protest in London<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\n Thousands of protesters \u2014 including celebrities like \u201cStar Wars\u201d actor John Boyega \u2014 streamed into London\u2019s Hyde Park on Wednesday in solidarity with George Floyd rallies in the US.<\/p>\n

The massive demonstration began at 1 p.m. local time, with marchers in face masks holding signs reading, \u201cIt\u2019s freedom for everybody or freedom for nobody\u201d and \u201cBlack lives matter.\u201d<\/p>\n

An estimated 15,000 people took part in the protest, according to the Daily Mail.<\/p>\n

Boyega, 28, who plays Finn in the newest \u201cStar Wars\u201d franchise, delivered a fired up speech to the crowd through a megaphone.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery black person in here remembers when another person reminded you that you were black,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He began to cry while telling the crowd, \u201cI need you to understand how painful this s\u2013t is \u2026 to be reminded every day that your race means nothing. That is never the case anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

He went on to say, \u201cWe are a physical representation of our support for George Floyd.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m speaking to you from the heart,\u201d Boyega said. \u201cLook, I don\u2019t know if I\u2019m going to have a career after this, but f\u2013k that!\u201d<\/p>\n

Boyega urged his fellow protesters to remain \u201cas peaceful as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other celebrities who attended the London protest included One Direction singer Liam Payne and his girlfriend Maya Henry.<\/p>\n

Protesters were initially asked to sit six feet apart but social<\/a> distancing was made impossible due to the sheer amount of attendees.<\/p>\n

The death of Floyd \u2014 which came after a white police officer in Minneapolis kneeled on his neck for nearly nine minutes \u2014 has sparked protests across the US and in countries like Britain, Germany and New Zealand.<\/p>\n

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has called Floyd\u2019s death \u201cinexcusable,\u201d according to Sky News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think what happ<\/a>ened in the United States was appalling. It was inexcusable,\u201d said Johnson. \u201cWe all saw it on our screens and I perfectly understand people\u2019s right to protest what took place.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
