Anna Faris<\/strong> is opening up about a difficult time in her life \u2014 her divorce from Chris Pratt<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

As you know, the pair tied the knot in 2009 and had their son Jack<\/strong> three years later. However, their marriage sadly didn\u2019t last. They got a divorce in 2018. Going through a breakup is hard enough, but then having it go down so publicly can make it 10 times harder! Anna knows that all too well! In rare comments about the split, she told Variety<\/em> on Saturday when asked about the media<\/a> scrutiny surrounding their divorce:<\/p>\n

\u201cI was feeling sad.\u00a0Sad<\/em>. I do feel like I had enough gumption, enough of a core, and I have tried to be careful about how much Hollywood infiltrates, but now I\u2019ve been on a spectrum of fame for 26 years, so I would be na\u00efve to think that it hasn\u2019t shaped who I am at this point. But,\u00a0f**k. The scrutiny.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But during that emotional time in her life, what helped her push through the pain? Her podcast, Anna Faris Is Unqualified<\/em>. She expressed:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m lucky that at that time I had my podcast [\u2018Unqualified\u2019]. That goes back to the talk radio. I wanted, like, four people to listen and to build my own secret community. I wanted an avenue outside of Hollywood as a way to connect with people.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Although Anna didn\u2019t share a lot of what was going on with her divorce, she found comfort in knowing that if she wanted to say something, she could:<\/p>\n

\u201cI used to do this thing on ski lifts where, if I was on a ski lift with a stranger, I\u2019d say, \u2018Do you want to have a really intense ten-minute conversation with me? And you can answer any question you want to.\u2019 And I\u2019d ask them questions like, \u2018When was the first time you fell in love?\u2019 I\u2019ve had a constant desire to connect with people. I didn\u2019t disclose a lot on the podcast, but I always felt like I could if I needed to.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Working on the show ultimately \u201chelped\u201d Anna:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe podcast helped me a lot during that time, and it made me think: I know I could be happ<\/a>y if I\u2019m writing, because I\u2019ve always loved that, and maybe that\u2019s an avenue to make money. I was thinking of a version of retirement.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Don\u2019t worry! Anna is NOT retiring anytime soon! She continued:<\/p>\n

\u201cBut now, I feel like the opportunities are more bountiful than they\u2019ve ever been! I\u2019m just overwhelmed with gratitude. When people see me, they usually smile and say, \u2018Oh, I love The House Bunny!\u2019 or \u2018Oh, I love Scary Movie!\u2019 or \u2018Mom helped me through that hard time.’\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
