Locked in a friendly rivalry, they work hard towards their goal. While Yuno excels at magic, Asta has a problem uncommon in this world: he has no powers! But, on the day they receive their grimoires, they surprise everyone. To reach their goal, they\u2019ll each find their own path to greatness\u2014with or without magic.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The first half of Season 1 was directed by <b>Tatsuya Yoshihara<\/b>\u00a0(<i>Chainsaw Man<\/i> action director, <em>Wistoria: Wand and Sword<\/em> Season 1 director, <em>Wistoria: Wand and Sword\u00a0<\/em>Season 2 chief director<span style=\"color: initial\">), who became chief director for the second. The season was followed by the <\/span><em style=\"color: initial\">Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King<\/em><span style=\"color: initial\"> movie that premiered on Netflix in 2023 and was directed by <\/span>Tanemura.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><em>Black Clover\u00a0<\/em>is based on the Shueisha-published manga by <b>Yuki Tabata<\/b>. The manga, which began in 2015 and has 37 volumes as of 2025, was initially serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump an moved to Jump GIGA in late 2023.
