A key visual for Hana-Kimi<\/em>\u00a0(Hanazakari no Kimitachi e<\/em>) Season 2 has been released. Last month saw the reveal of its trailer, theme<\/a> songs, and July 1 at 24:30 JST (effectively July 2 at 01:30 JST) broadcast start date.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hana-Kimi<\/em>\u00a0is based on the\u00a0Hakusensha-published manga<\/a> by the late\u00a0Hisaya Nakajo<\/strong>. Viz Media<\/a> describes the synopsis as such:<\/span><\/p>\n

Japanese-American track-and-field star Mizuki has gotten herself to transfer to a high school in Japan\u2026but not just any school! To be close to her idol, high jumper Izumi Sano, she\u2019s going to an all-guys\u2019 high school\u2026and disguising herself as a boy! But as fate would have it, they\u2019re more than classmates\u2026they\u2019re roommates! Now, Mizuki must keep her secret in the classroom, the locker room, and her own bedroom. And her classmates\u2013and the school nurse\u2013must cope with a new transfer student who may make them question their own orientation\u2026<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The Hana-Kimi <\/em>manga ran in the shojo magazine Hana to Yume from 1996 to 2004 and is collected into 23 tankobon volumes and 12 aizoban volumes. The anime\u2019s\u00a0first season\u00a0aired during the Winter 2026 anime season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The manga has also inspired a Taiwanese live-action series<\/a> (2006), two Japanese live-action series (2007 and 2011), and a Korean live-action series (2012).<\/span><\/p>\n
