Philippine SEC Commissioner Rogelio Quevedo told Cointelegraph that tokenized assets could give Filipinos more legitimate investment options while helping steer them away from scams.<\/p>\n
The Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission\u00a0(SEC) has signaled that the country is ready to accommodate the tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs).<\/p>\n
Speaking onstage at the Philippine Blockchain Week 2026, SEC Commissioner Rogelio Quevedo said the agency was \u201cnow fully convinced that we have the proper law [and] the proper regulatory mind and background\u201d to accept asset tokenization.
