In July, Trevor Powers\u2014the artist formerly known as Youth Lagoon\u2014returned with a surprise new album called Capricorn<\/em>.<\/em> Today, Powers has shared a new short film that accompanies the album. It\u2019s directed by Collin Fletcher and Jamie Parkhurst. Find it below. The album\u2019s vinyl release has also been announced; order it on Bandcamp<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to represent the album visually as we hear it\u2014nostalgic vignettes of another time contrasted with the despondent beauty of modern life,\u201d Fletcher and Parkhurst said in a statement. \u201cThe world of Capricorn<\/em> takes place in a world plagued by pollution and developmental decay. The film is meant to depict a new generation that has grown up acclimated to this bleak environment.\u201d<\/p>\n
