my motion,\u201d Woah Vicky chants. Some of them are in this very room. It\u2019s a sticky Saturday evening in mid-June at le P\u00c8RE on Manhattan\u2019s Lower East Side, and we\u2019re crammed so close the air conditioning can\u2019t keep up. We\u2019re all here for the suddenly announced poetry reading by Woah Vicky \u2014 Internet oddity turned ultraniche nano-celebrity \u2014 hoping the absurd can truly become sublime, or at least that something worth posting about on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> might h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>en inside this vividly yellow storefront.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            I\u2019m not a close follower of Vicky\u2019s antics, but lately I feel as though half the conversations I have with musicians, from Rio Da Yung OG to Ninajirachi to Nino Paid, inevitably circle around to the ways the Internet warps the world around us, and subsequently, the ways we live. A line about wanting to adopt autistic children when she\u2019s more settled was met with chuckles; ditto a line about her father asking her mother to get an abortion. I don\u2019t think anyone walked into the Woah Vicky poetry reading expecting a transcendent literary experience, or solely to make fun of everything happening; maybe I\u2019m a sucker for feeling moved by, \u201cthere almost wasn\u2019t a Vicky to say Woah to.\u201d\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            But as low-brow and unglamorous as Victoria\u2019s truth may be, it is <i>her<\/i> truth, and we all took three hours out of our Saturday night to sweatily hear her out.
