An artwork for the upcoming THE ONE PIECE<\/em>\u2018s first episode, \u201cRomance Dawn,\u201d has been revealed, with the rest of Season 1\u2018s episodes to get their own artwork \u201cthroughout\u201d the season. It was also announced that June 24, 3 PM CEST will see the release of the WIT STUDIO<\/strong>-produced remake\u2019s teaser trailer.<\/span><\/p>\n

THE ONE PIECE<\/em>\u2018s first season will drop on Netflix in February 2027. It will contain seven episodes that adapt the manga<\/a>\u2019s first 50 chapters across roughly 300 minutes. The anime was announced in December 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

Masashi Koizuka<\/strong>\u00a0(Attack on Titan<\/em> seasons 2 and 3) is directing the anime with Taku Kishimoto<\/strong>\u00a0(Ranking of Kings<\/em>) as series<\/a> composer,\u00a0Kyoji Asano<\/strong>\u00a0(Attack on Titan<\/em>) and\u00a0Takatoshi Honda<\/strong>\u00a0(In\/Spectre<\/em>) as character designers and chief animation directors, and\u00a0Hideaki Abe<\/strong>\u00a0(Jujutsu Kaisen<\/em> Episode 15 storyboard artist and director, Episode 4 director) as assistant director.<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0One Piece<\/em>\u00a0manga\u00a0by\u00a0Eiichiro Oda<\/strong>\u00a0began serialization in Shueisha\u2019s Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997 and has 114 volumes as of March 2026. VIZ Media<\/a> describes the manga as such:<\/span><\/p>\n

As a child, Monkey D. Luffy was inspired to become a pirate by listening to the tales of the buccaneer \u201cRed-Haired\u201d Shanks. But his life changed when Luffy accidentally ate the Gum-Gum Devil Fruit and gained the power to stretch like rubber\u2026at the cost of never being able to swim again! Years later, still vowing to become the king of the pirates, Luffy sets out on his adventure\u2026one guy alone in a rowboat, in search of the legendary \u201cOne Piece,\u201d said to be the greatest treasure in the world\u2026<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The manga initially inspired a Production I.G<\/strong>-produced OVA that was released the same year as the its debut.\u00a0The still ongoing Toei Animation<\/strong>-produced\u00a0One Piece<\/em> TV anime, which recently switched to a 26-episode-a-year release schedule with the episodes divided into two blocks, began airing in 1999 and entered the \u201cElbaph Arc\u201d in April 2026. A\u00a0number of anime films, as well as the One Piece Fan Letter<\/em> special, were also released over the years. One Piece Heroines<\/em>, a special episode based on the \u201cepisode : NAMI\u201d story from the\u00a0ONE PIECE novel HEROINES\u00a0<\/em>spin-off, is set to premiere on July 5.<\/span><\/p>\n
