The timely and relevant story focuses on the peaceful protest at the 1968 Democratic National Convention that turned into a violent clash with police and the court case that followed when seven protesters charged by the federal government with conspiracy. What followed was a case full of biased politics, unabashed corruption, and absolute prejudice. Sound familiar?<span id=\"more-637837\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Trial_of_the_Chicago_7_Trailer\"><\/span>The Trial of the Chicago 7 Trailer<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Trial of the Chicago 7 | Official Trailer | Netflix Film\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FVb6EdKDBfU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Eddie Redmayne<\/strong> has changed his voice so distinctly that I\u2019m not sure I\u2019d be able to guess it was him based on hearing him alone. <strong>Sacha Baron Cohen<\/strong> continues to prove what a chameleon he is. <strong>Yahya Abdul-Mateen II<\/strong> will undoubtedly be one of the more remarkable performances based on this trailer alone. Everyone on display here is putting in awards caliber performances, but that could make things tricky when the time comes to campaign for the acting awards.<br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->Hopefully writer\/director <strong>Aaron Sorkin<\/strong> has built an equally powerful movie around them. His signature, sn<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>y dialogue is on display here, though it would appear that maybe he held back on contrived sharp quips, maybe to let history speak for itself. Surely there\u2019s still plenty of dialogue for him to sink his teeth into with a court case at the center of the story. As the crowd chants towards the end of this trailer, the whole world was watching. And we will be too when the movie hits Netflix next month.<\/p>\n<p>The film stars <strong>Sacha Baron Cohen<\/strong> as Abbie Hoffman,\u00a0<strong>Eddie Redmayne<\/strong> as Tom Hayden,\u00a0<strong>Yahya Abdul-Mateen II<\/strong> as Bobby Seale, <strong>Jeremy Strong<\/strong> as Jerry Rubin, <strong>John Caroll Lynch<\/strong> as\u00a0David Dellinger, <strong>Alex Sharp<\/strong> as Rennie Davis, <strong>Noah Robbins<\/strong> as Lee Weiner, and <strong>Danny Flaherty<\/strong> as John Froines. The cast also includes <strong>Joseph Gordon-Levitt<\/strong> as Richard H. Shultz, <strong>William Hurt<\/strong> as John N. Mitchell,\u00a0<strong>Mark Rylance<\/strong> as William Kunstler, , <strong>Frank Langella<\/strong> as Judge Julius Hoffman, and <strong>Michael Keaton<\/strong> as Ramsey Clark, a progressive lawyer who was also a key figure in the Civil Rights Movement of the mid-20th century.<\/p>\n<p>The movie is produced by <strong>Marc Platt<\/strong>, <strong>Stuart Besser<\/strong>, <strong>Matt Jackson<\/strong> and <strong>Tyler Thompson<\/strong> with a long list of executive producers that includes <strong>Laurie MacDonald<\/strong>, <strong>Walter Parkes<\/strong>, <strong>Marc Butan<\/strong>, <strong>Anthony Katagas<\/strong>, <strong>James Rodenhouse<\/strong>, <strong>Nia Vazirani<\/strong>, <strong>Kristie Macosko Krieger<\/strong>, <strong>Maurice Fadida<\/strong> and <strong>Shivani Rawat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>What was intended to be a peaceful protest at the 1968 Democratic National Convention turned into a violent clash with police and the National Guard.
