Dallas rapper and producer FXXXXY has died, an IGA spokesperson has confirmed. According to the spokesperson, the artist died of complications from a routine medical procedure. FXXXXY was 25 years old.<\/p>\n

FXXXXY\u2019s family said in a statement:<\/p>\n

The family of Maudell Watkins, aka FXXXXY, aka FBG Fox, are totally shocked and devastated at his unexpected and unforeseen passing. FXXXXY (pronounced \u201cFoxy\u201d) made a name for himself with his 2016 Cartel Shawty<\/em> EP<\/a>. The next year, he shared the follow-up Flawed Up Shawty<\/em> EP<\/a>. The latter EP featured two popular early tracks, \u201cLip Service 6<\/a>\u201d and \u201cBeep Beep<\/a>.\u201d Earl Sweatshirt was an early champion of the artist, tweeting<\/a> his support<\/a> in 2015.<\/p>\n

In August 2018, FXXXXY collaborated with Gunna on \u201cNeed U<\/a>,\u201d his first single for Rule #1 and Interscope Records. A month later, FXXXXY and Lil Durk released \u201cFollow Me<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2019, FXXXXY began his work with Future, serving as an engineer on SAVE ME<\/em>. He also produced the EP\u2019s \u201cGovernment Official\u201d and co-produced \u201cExtra.\u201d He then co-engineered \u201cSolitaires\u201d from this year\u2019s High Off Life<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In early September, FXXXXY shared the music video for \u201cParanoia \/ #1 Stunna<\/a>,\u201d the final single of his lifetime.<\/p>\n
