\n Bruce Arians isn\u2019t impressed.<\/p>\n

The Buccaneers head coach was asked Wednesday about the team not \u201cletting their guard down\u201d against the depleted Denver Broncos on Sunday. Arians quickly dismissed the idea, expressing what he really thinks about Tampa Bay\u2019s 1-1 record.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think we can let our guard down. We haven\u2019t done s\u2013t,\u201d he told reporters<\/a>.\u00a0\u201cWe\u2019re nobody to look past anybody.\u201d<\/p>\n

Arians hasn\u2019t been shy with his critiques this season. After Tom Brady threw two interceptions in his Buccaneers debut against the Saints in Week 1, Arians publicly pointed out the mistakes the four-time Super Bowl MVP quarterback made, without hesitation \u2013 which Patriots coach Bill Belichick rarely seemed to do during Brady\u2019s 20 years in New England.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s evidently taken Brady some time to adjust to a new offense, as he\u2019s combined for three interceptions and just 456 yards and three touchdowns through the first two game<\/a>s of the 2020 season.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s clearly still a work in progress,\u201d Bucs QBs coach Clyde Christensen told reporters<\/a> of the first two games with Brady. \u201cIt\u2019s certainly not done yet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tight end Rob Gronkowski, who was teammates with Brady in New England before coming out of retirement to reunite with him in Tampa Bay, has also struggled, pulling down just two catches for 11 yards and zero touchdowns in the first two games.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe brought him in to just play tight end. If that means no catches, that means no catches,\u201d Arians said of Gronkowski. \u201cIf it means 10 catches, it means 10 catches because he\u2019s open and that\u2019s where the ball goes.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
