Sure, they recently hatched a plan to survive the coronavirus pandemic that was eerily similar to <em>Shaun of the Dead<\/em>, but we haven\u2019t seen them in a movie or TV show together in a long time. But that\u2019s about to change, as you can see in the with the new paranormal comedy series<strong><em> Truth Seekers<\/em><\/strong>, coming to Amazon Prime just in time for Halloween. Get a look at the <em>Truth Seekers<\/em> trailer below for some ghastly comedy.<span id=\"more-637920\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Truth_Seekers_Trailer\"><\/span>Truth Seekers Trailer<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Truth Seekers \u2013 Official Trailer | Prime Video\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yg8b-ZIQ4e8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Nick Frost stars in the series as Gus, an internet installer who also hosts his own paranormal investigation web series called Truth Seekers (hey, that\u2019s the title of the show!) on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube<\/a>. Usually, he ventures into abandoned places while out on the job, but now he has to bring a new partner (<strong>Samson Kayo<\/strong>) with him, and they end up stumbling upon some pretty scary shit.<br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->Meanwhile, Simon Pegg plays Gus\u2019 boss Dave, who is sporting a spectacularly bad toupee, and likely won\u2019t be sharing a lot of screentime with Frost, unfortunately. But at the very least, we\u2019re getting them back together for a little bit, and all we can ask for is just a spark of joy in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>This actually looks more scary than funny, even scarier than <em>Shaun of the Dead<\/em>, but that\u2019s what Pegg and Frost set out to do along with co-writers <strong>James Serafinowicz<\/strong> and <strong>Nat Saunders<\/strong>. During their Comic-Con panel earlier this year, Pegg said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cYou have to not make fun of the horror. It\u2019s tempting with genre fair to parody that\u2026but I think the key for horror-comedy is to take the horror seriously.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Maybe it\u2019s also scarier because I find spooks, specters, and ghosts to be a little more scary than the undead. The latter I\u2019m sure can\u2019t possibly exist in this world, but I\u2019m still leery of paranormal activity. Still, the series has a low-rent<em> X-Files<\/em> kind of vibe with a comedic edge, and that\u2019s enough to pique my interest.<\/p>\n<p>The series also stars<strong> Malcolm McDowell<\/strong>, <strong>Emma D\u2019Arcy<\/strong>, <strong>Susan Wokoma<\/strong>, <strong>Julian Barratt<\/strong>.
