\n She\u2019s taking a real \u201cbrow\u201d beating!<\/p>\n

A model who grew a unibrow to embrace a more \u201cunique\u201d style says she\u2019s been harassed online \u2014 and has even lost work because of it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI get mocked mostly on social media<\/a> sites like TikTok because of my look. People are constantly telling me that I would be \u2018pretty\u2019 if I shaved the unibrow,\u201d Haylee Michalski, 22, told the Daily Mail<\/a>. \u201cSome will just [send me] the razor emoji.\u201d<\/p>\n

Things first got hairy after Michalski moved from Charleston, North Carolina to New York City in the summer of 2019 and decided to start rocking a more natural look, she said.<\/p>\n

Fed up with spending hours plucking, she opted for the Frida Kahlo-style fashion statement, which earned her plenty of compliments in Gotham, she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted to be one of those people who isn\u2019t afraid of what society says about their version of beauty,\u201d she told the outlet.<\/p>\n

But when she moved back to her hometown a few months later, she immediately noticed people staring at her, and hateful online comments began rolling in.<\/p>\n

She said she\u2019s now bombarded everyday by internet trolls, including ones comparing the bend of her brows to McDonald\u2019s signature golden arches.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople tell me that I have the McDonald\u2019s logo sign on my forehead. Some say I look like Anthony Davis\u2019 twin sister,\u201d she said, referencing the unibrow-sporting Lakers forward. \u201cI definitely get more hate than positive comments.\u201d<\/p>\n

Some modeling agencies have turned her down because of her eyebrow, she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been told, \u2018The unibrow look is not the right look and nobody wants to book me because of it,\u2019 \u201d she said.<\/p>\n

But Michalski thinks that\u2019s fuzzy logic, considering originality rules the fashion world.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy advice is just to do whatever makes you feel comfortable,\u201d she said. \u201cI feel proud. I feel confident. I love my unibrow.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
