\n Mariah Carey has an explosive new book<\/a> coming out \u2014 and she\u2019s dropping some truth bombs on Oprah Winfrey.<\/p>\n

The \u201cHero\u201d singer-songwriter revealed Wednesday night<\/a> via Instagram that she\u2019s in \u201cThe Oprah Conversation\u201d hot seat Thursday on Apple TV+<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t have asked for a better way to introduce my memoir than having a conversation with my friend, therapist and icon Ms. @oprah, on her series<\/a> @theoprahconversation,\u201d Carey, 50, hyped in her Insta post. \u201cWatch tomorrow on @app<\/a>letv\u201d<\/p>\n

But the juiciest bits come in the video clip that accompanies the \u201cButterfly\u201d diva\u2019s post.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wouldn\u2019t have gone here if I hadn\u2019t been treated as an ATM machine with a wig on,\u201d the self-proclaimed elusive chanteuse is heard telling Winfrey.<\/p>\n

The talk show titan, 66, responds: \u201cThe loneliness and sadness behind the facade \u2014 I now understand it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nSocial media<\/a> sleuths were quick to surmise that Mariah must have been referring to her marriage to ex-husband Tommy Mottola, the former Sony Music boss she met in 1988, married in 1993 \u2014 and left in 1997.<\/p>\n

In advance copies of \u201cThe Meaning of Mariah,\u201d<\/a> Carey describes their \u201cSing Sing\u201d mansion in upstate New York as a plush prison of sorts, with security cameras and guards around the house, the Los Angeles Times reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But in her new chat with Oprah, she laid the blame on estranged family members who sold her out to the tabloids repeatedly<\/a>, and said anything revealed in the book is because they \u201cdrew first blood, historically.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mottola, 71, told Page Six Wednesday<\/a> that he is \u201cdeeply gratified to have played that role in Mariah\u2019s well-deserved and remarkable success, and continue to wish her and her family only the very best.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carey\u2019s tell-all tome drops Sept. 29 \u2014 and she\u2019s been very busy promoting it and<\/em> her recently released collection of B-sides and fan fave tracks titled \u201cThe Rarities.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

Previously reported details from the rags-to-riches tale include the revelation that New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter wasn\u2019t \u201cthe love of my life\u201d<\/a> \u2014 but he did help her exit what she has described as an overly restrictive marriage to Mottola.<\/p>\n

The singer, who also admitted that she wrote \u201cMy All\u201d and \u201cThe Roof\u201d about Jeter, told Winfrey they bonded over their biracial backgrounds.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was a catalyst \u2014 and I think that it was beautiful,\u201d she told the host. \u201cAnd his family was a healthy family, and they changed my viewpoint that: \u2018Oh, it\u2019s because of the biracial situation that my family\u2019s so screwed up\u2019 \u2026 It was healthy for me to see a functional family, that, you know, basically kind of looked like mine but didn\u2019t feel like mine.\u201d<\/p>\n

It also didn\u2019t hurt that Jeter \u201cwas also living his dream job and doing his dream job and stuff, you know. I believe we connected in that way.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
