“#’My 600-lb Life’ star Coliesa McMillian dead at 41<\/strong>”

\n Coliesa McMillian, the star of TLC\u2019s show \u201cMy 600-lb Life,\u201d has passed away. She was 41.<\/p>\n

The mother of four died Tuesday at a Louisiana hospital, TMZ first reported<\/a>. An exact cause of death has not yet been made public. Her funeral services will be held Thursday and Friday in Plaquemine, Louisiana.<\/p>\n

\u201cTLC is saddened to learn of the loss of Coliesa McMillian, who shared her story on \u2018My 600lb Life.\u2019 Our deepest condolences to her family at this difficult time,\u201d TLC Network tweeted<\/a> on Wednesday. When McMillian app<\/a>eared on the eighth season of the show earlier this year, she weighed 643 pounds.<\/p>\n

McMillian had a traumatic life. At 30, her husband was arrested and she found the strength to finally leave him, moving her family to Louisiana, where she met her fianc\u00e9, Melvin.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was almost like we instantly fell in love, you know, and me and my kids moved in with him, so life got better for awhile,\u201d she said of meeting Melvin in a clip TLC posted<\/a> in March.<\/p>\n

But at 39, she had a heart attack, and doctors were unable to operate on her due to her size. \u201cSo they never fixed my heart,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Then, Melvin was killed in a car wreck.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat devastated me, but I did what I had to do to get through it, and that was to eat so I didn\u2019t fall apart,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

She is survived by several siblings and her four daughters, who motivated her to go on the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve allowed food to waste my life. Just the hunger and the want and the crave. It\u2019s taken over my life, and I\u2019m exhausted. I\u2019m exhausted of this life. Livin\u2019 like this is not livin,\u2019\u2009\u201d she said in the clip. \u201cI can feel the weight weighing me down. It\u2019s like my body\u2019s trying to give up. And I can feel it \u2014 but I can\u2019t give up. I have to be here for my kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

She was aware that her obesity may one day prove fatal, admitting, \u201cIf I don\u2019t lose this weight I\u2019m going to die. I know I\u2019m going to die. Because I do feel like a ticking time bomb. My heart could give out at any time.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
