KADOKAWA\u2018s Dengeki Bunko label has unveiled Black Bullet: The New World Order<\/em>, an upcoming reboot of Shiden Kanzaki<\/strong>\u2018s unfinished Black Bullet <\/em>light novel series<\/a> that previously inspired a 2014 TV anime<\/a>. The first two volumes are set to drop on November 10, 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

Black Bullet<\/em>\u2018s sci-fi action story is set in a near-future where mankind is forced to wall itself from a parasitic virus called the Gastrea. Pairs of civil security officers, comprising Initiators drawn from the superhuman Cursed Children \u2014 female kids who have the virus but can control it \u2014 and their supervising Promoters, are employed against this threat.<\/span><\/p>\n

Black Bullet: The New World Order<\/em>\u2018s first three volumes (the third is a two-parter) will be based on the original series, with some additions and tweaks. Volume 4, however, will see the narrative branching off into a new path, and Volumes 5 and beyond are described as a completely new work based on the original seventh volume from 2014 (which was also the last Black Bullet <\/em>volume until now).<\/span><\/p>\n
