That reportedly means they can no longer display images to express support for political candidates or causes such as the Black Lives Matter movement.<\/p>\n<p>Staffers will still be able to modify their profile pictures with pre-approved frames, including a Black Lives Matter-<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">theme<\/a>d one, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/facebook-to-train-employees-to-moderate-internal-groups-11600974453\">according to The Wall Street Journal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Facebook will also require employees to moderate Workplace discussion groups dedicated to politics, social issues and other topics unrelated to their jobs, the paper reported. And the Silicon Valley giant has expanded its definition of harassment to ban \u201cinsensitive, degrading or derogatory\u201d communications that could create a hostile work environment for protected groups, according to CNBC.<\/p>\n<p>Facebook did not immediately respond to a request for comment Friday. But company spokesman Joe Osborne told outlets the changes are meant to \u201cmake sure our people have both voice, and choice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe deeply value expression, open discussion, and a company culture built on respect and inclusivity,\u201d Osborne told CNBC in a statement. \u201cWhat we have heard from our employees is that they want the option to join debates on social and political issues rather than see them unexpectedly in their work feed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Facebook\u2019s move to control contentious discussions followed a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> of leaks from within the social-media titan. Reports in <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.buzzfeednews.com\/article\/ryanmac\/facebook-employee-leaks-show-they-feel-betrayed\">BuzzFeed News<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/21444203\/facebook-leaked-audio-zuckerberg-trump-pandemic-blm\">The Verge<\/a> have detailed Facebook staffers\u2019 criticisms of CEO Mark Zuckerberg and the company\u2019s handling of President Trump\u2019s inflammatory posts, among other issues.<\/p>\n<p>Facebook is also under pressure to crack down on disinformation on its public platform ahead of the November presidential election.
