\n Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg reportedly called a grand jury\u2019s failure to indict any cops for killing Breonna Taylor a \u201cpainful reminder\u201d of the need for criminal justice reform.<\/p>\n

The billionaire CEO condemned the ruling that sparked protests around the country this week even as Facebook restricted how its employees can express support for the Black Lives Matter movement within the company.<\/p>\n

Zuckerberg started a Thursday all-hands meeting by addressing the Kentucky grand jury\u2019s decision to charge only one of the cops involved in the botched Louisville raid in which Taylor, 26, was shot to death. The former officer, Brett Hankison, was charged only for shooting into a different apartment.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe idea that someone can be killed, murdered, and no one in our system is held accountable for it, I think just really goes to show why it\u2019s so important to fight to make sure that Black Lives Matter,\u201d Zuckerberg said, according to transcripts<\/a> posted on Twitter by BuzzFeed News<\/a> reporter Ryan Mac.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis shows that it\u2019s not just policing, it\u2019s also the criminal justice system, and other systems across society where there is embedded systemic racism that needs to be changed,\u201d he reportedly added. \u201cThis is just another reminder of that \u2014 another painful reminder.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Zuckerberg repeated his support for the Black Lives Matter movement on the call, Facebook issued new rules this week barring employees from using their profile pictures on the company\u2019s internal social network to show support for that or other causes.<\/p>\n

Facebook staffers are now required to use an image of themselves or their initials on the corporate Workplace platform, meaning they can\u2019t use political images as their profile photos, according to reports. Facebook will reportedly offer some pre-approved frames that can be added to profile pictures, including a Black Lives Matter-theme<\/a>d one.<\/p>\n

Facebook did not immediately respond to a request for comment Friday. Its stock price was up about 0.7 percent at $251.25 as of 11:44 a.m.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
