\n Veteran quarterback Joe Flacco (neck) has practiced fully all week, but Jets coach Adam Gase still hasn\u2019t officially committed to the Super Bowl-winning former Raven as Sam Darnold\u2019s backup against the Colts.<\/p>\n\n

Gase will continue to wear a mask on the sidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19, after multiple coaches and teams were heavily fined for not doing so in the first two weeks.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was a suggestion by our starting quarterback [Darnold] that maybe I needed to pull it down sometimes when I was calling plays, and I\u2019m glad I didn\u2019t,\u201d Gase said. \u201cThat was something in the first game<\/a>, I was just like, \u2018Hey, just tell me if I\u2019m not clear, like if something does not come across.\u2019 But that was one that I\u2019d rather not get fined $100,000. That would not go over well.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

Rookie running back La\u2019Mical Perine, on working with 16-year veteran Frank Gore: \u201cIt\u2019s an honor. I tell him that every day. I\u2019m walking right beside him and hearing things, and he\u2019s pretty much teaching me. I love the way he carries himself on and off the field, a wonderful person to look up to, a guy that does everything right. You can\u2019t knock Frank Gore and nothing he does. That\u2019s a Hall of Famer. He\u2019s the No. 3 all-time leading rusher, and that\u2019s an amazing accomplishment, man. I\u2019m just trying to follow in his footsteps and learn as much as I can from him.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
