\n Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role as Nick Fury in an upcoming Disney+ series.<\/p>\n

It will be the first starring television part for the 71-year-old actor, reported Variety<\/a>, which noted that Marvel Studios would produce the show.<\/p>\n

Jackson has played leather-trenchcoat-and-eyepatch-wearing Fury \u2014 the director of Marvel\u2019s fictional S.H.I.E.L.D. spy agency \u2014 in several films, including \u201cSpider-Man: Far from Home,\u201d \u201cAvengers: Endgame<\/a>,\u201d \u201cAvengers: Age of Ultron\u201d and \u201cIron Man.\u201d He also app<\/a>eared as Fury in some episodes of ABC\u2019s \u201cAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actor is best known for film roles including \u201cDjango Unchained,\u201d \u201cSnakes on a Plane,\u201d \u201cPulp Fiction\u201d \u2014 for which he received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor \u2014 and Spike Lee\u2019s 1989 film \u201cDo the Right Thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jackson\u2019s Nick Fury series would join other upcoming Marvel projects headed to Disney+ including \u201cWandaVision,\u201d which is expected to premiere<\/a> later this year and stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff \u2014 a k a Scarlet Witch \u2014 and Paul Bettany as Vision.<\/p>\n
