\n A recall election has become a real pain in the butt for one candidate.<\/p>\n

The recall vote for the mayor of Taipei, Taiwan, got more interesting last week when Taipei City Councilor Chiu Wei-chieh pledged to \u201csnap one chopstick in two with his buttocks for every 10,000 votes exceeding 400,000 in the recall against then-Kaohsiung mayor Han Kuo-yu,\u201d according to the Taipei Times.<\/p>\n

Han had infuriated people by pulling a de Blasio and running \u201cas the Chinese Nationalist Party\u2019s (KMT) candidate in the Jan. 11 presidential elections, entering the race a few months after he was elected mayor, in what some voters said was a betrayal of his promises during his mayoral campaign,\u201d according to the paper.<\/p>\n

Chiu got more than he bargained for with the recall stunt as 939,090 residents voted for Han\u2019s removal \u2014 far higher than the required 574,996 votes.<\/p>\n

However, Chiu kept his promise and, according to the paper, posted a video on Tuesday of him busting chopsticks with his butt \u2014 prompting a New Taipei City-based gastroenterologist Chang Chen-jung, to warn that \u201csplinters from broken chopsticks could accidentally pierce the flesh and cause cellulitis.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chang spoke as out he was worried people might try to emulate Chiu after watching his feat on video, adding he had \u201cseen cases of people who had inserted things into their anus, which had to be removed by surgery or endoscopy.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
