\n Reggae singer Dexta Daps drew a packed crowd for a blow-out Brooklyn concert in defiance of COVID-19 recommendations, according to shocking videos posted to social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Footage shared to Instagram<\/a> on Saturday night shows the Jamaican entertainer on stage hyping up what app<\/a>eared to be hundreds of fans packed tightly at an undisclosed outdoor venue.<\/p>\n

In another clip<\/a>, fellow Jamaican vocalist Ikaya joined him on stage to serenade the concertgoers, many of whom were not wearing masks.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo mask what happen [sic] to social distance have mercy on y\u2019all soul,\u201d wrote one user on a video of the tightly-packed crowd<\/a> on promoter Steelie Bashment\u2019s Instagram page.<\/p>\n

Another added, \u201cI will never attend any of these events because these promoters [are about] them and their money. We have to protect ourselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

Under the state\u2019s COVID-19 guidelines, outdoor entertainment-related activities are only allowed to resume at 33% capacity and with six feet of distance between people.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear where exactly the Brooklyn venue was located, but the events page<\/a> advertised it as a \u201cspecial, exclusive day party at a secret location\u201d in the borough.<\/p>\n

Daps also promoted the gig \u2014 which sold tickets starting at $50 \u2014 on his own Instagram page.<\/p>\n

\u201cNYC its been a long time,\u201d he wrote<\/a>. \u201cSept 26 + 27 I\u2019ll be back on stage.\u201d<\/p>\n

A rep for Daps didn\u2019t immediately respond to request for comment.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
