\n Bestselling author Dan Brown says his publisher was thrilled that he cheated on his wife \u2014 because readers thought he was too boring.<\/p>\n

\u201cI called my publisher and said, \u2018I\u2019m so sorry, I hope this doesn\u2019t impact sales,’\u201d the \u201cDa Vinci Code\u201d author wrote in the Sunday Times of London<\/a> about his ex-wife accusing him of having \u201csordid, extra-marital affairs.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe said: \u201cAre you kidding? Everyone thinks you\u2019re the most boring guy in the world \u2026 multiple affairs with beautiful women, finally there\u2019s a story!\u201d the 56-year-old writer said.<\/p>\n

Without giving details, Brown wrote that he \u201cmet someone else\u201d near the end of his marriage to Blythe Brown \u201cwhen we were each looking for comfort in other places.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s hurt. I get it, and I\u2019ve apologized,\u201d he said, saying that his ex got \u201chalf of everything and more money on top\u201d in the divorce.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut it\u2019s not enough. So here we are,\u201d he said of her June lawsuit in which she accused him of secretly siphoning off vast sums of money to conduct his \u201csordid\u201d dalliances.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
